BEGIN YOUR treatment JOURNEY.

Services

  • Evaluation

Every initial therapy journey begins with a comprehensive clinical evaluation. This process includes a historical review (medical, family, education, etc.) and may also incorporate standardized assessment tools when appropriate. The goal of this evaluation is to develop a thorough understanding of each client’s needs, establish clear case conceptualization, and create an individualized treatment plan to guide therapy moving forward.

  • Individual Therapy

Individual therapy may include psychoeducation, creating treatment goals, learning effective coping strategies and implementing evidence-based therapeutic models to target your challenges. Treatment typically consists of one to two therapy sessions per week, each lasting 45-minutes.

  • Family Therapy

I believe a child’s behavior and well-being are best understood within the context of their interconnected family relationships. When working with families, I take a collaborative approach, actively involving parents in psychoeducation, the development of supportive routines and reward systems, and in setting and achieving meaningful goals.

My Approach

I believe therapy is a collaborative unity where together we will uncover your challenges, establish goals and unlock your potential to build a life you value. As a cognitive behavioral psychologist, I employ treatment strategies from the following modalities:

  • Altering unhelpful thinking and behavior patterns to reduce psychological suffering.

  • Learning how to tolerate uncertainty by facing your fears (thoughts, situations) without ritualizing.

  • Learning coping skills including mindfulness and emotion regulation to recognize and tolerate overwhelming feelings. Note: I am not a DBT therapist, but I integrate DBT skills into my practice.

  • Utilizing acceptance and mindfulness strategies coupled with behavior change to reduce suffering and build a life that alligns with your values.
